// A Liberty August Linen / Cotton - Ed in yellow, black and ivory. Ed is a small all-over two-colour print made up of scattered rosehips. It is based on a design created for Liberty in the 1940s by Rex Silver of the Silver Studio – one of the most influential textile design studios in Britain, from its formation in 1880 until the middle of the twentieth century. This lightweight fabric has been woven with a slubby linen/cotton yarn creating an earthy fabric with a dry, natural hand feel with naturally occurring slubs throughout. An semi-transparent fabric with a matt finish a no stretch. The texture gives this lightweight plain weave fabric a casual feel. Ideal for DIY projects, homewares, tops, shirts like the Bloom, summer dresses like the Ivy.
