If your purchase is over the $800USD threshold, US customs will require your importer code and will contact you via phone to request this. If you want to avoid these taxes and duties and to ensure that your purchase makes it to you in the timeframe outlined on our shipping guide, your orders need to be limited to $800USD per transaction. If multiple packages are shipped to one customer in a single day which together exceeds the $800 threshold, US customs may combine their value in which case they would be subject to duties and taxes. You can read more about this here. For more information, read our overview page - Buying fabrics online in the USA
If your order is near or over the threshold for your country please email contact@thefabricstoreonline.com before you purchase and we will do our best to provide further information. Please note we cannot assist you after an order has already been placed.
Customs will generally base the value of your order on the price of the goods, plus the cost of the shipping. In some cases even if you have not paid for shipping (i.e free shipping offer used) customs may still include a charge for shipping in the value of your order. We do our best to provide correct information but unfortunately this is outside of our control and is dependent on your countries current customs policies.
